"This is a long overdue review. We had brunch here on a busy morning on the 4th January. All tables were taken, but we were lucky enough to grab one when someone left. We sat outside and even though it was hot, the overhead trees and umbrellas were welcome shade. I had seasonal fruit salad and my partner had oat banana pancakes. The food and coffees were very good. Great tastes for both meals. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We will definitely be back. It was worth the drive from Cleveland."

"We arrived on a super busy Sunday morning and the staff were lovely and honest about the wait time. They explained the approximate wait and were really welcoming to us and super friendly! Food and drinks were delicious, accidentally ordered the wrong drink and they made a replacement which was so kind. Thank you for a lovely morning, we will definitely be coming back!"

"Excellent cafe - breakfast was delicious, service prompt and friendly, and the location is relaxing, outdoors, shady. Chatted with the owner, Frank - they have been there for many years. This is my "go-to" place now when I visit the Gold Coast."

"When looking for a place to eat in a new town it's advisable to choose a place that's busy, it's also wise to consider looking for a place where the staff look and sound happy while working as well as working with ease and efficiency. Well I chose both in a little place called Hard Coffee in Tedder ave gold Coast. Two mornings in a row. Can not fault it. Yes, when it's busy there will be a wait, (like anywhere) trust me, it's worth it. I'll be back"

"Had a family holiday last week to the Gold Coast and we tried a couple of different cafes in the area for Breakfast, Once we tried Hard Coffee we ended up going back each day. We received the best service. The Staff were very friendly and food was exceptional. My daughter can't eat Gluten and they catered for this and she enjoyed her breakfast each day, her words were it was so delicious. We even took take away for my son that didn't want to leave the room lol. Definitely worth a visit and we will be returning when we head back."

"I had the eggs Benedict and it was excellent, cannot fault the food. The waiters were lovely but the food took forever to come out - at least 50 mins… and it didn’t seem too busy. Maybe understaffed, but too slow for morning hunger."
